SPEAKER SCHOOL
Fast Track Program Purpose and Features

The CAPS Calgary Fast Track Program exists to assist individuals who are committed to becoming professional speakers and seminar, workshop and training leaders. The purpose of the program is to facilitate major forward leaps in the careers of part-time and full-time professional speakers. Elements of the program work together to provide a broad range of support, information and accountability.

  1. CAPS Professional Advisors are senior CAPS members who provide expert information. We have over 24 advisors available to provide support. Participants are encouraged to “take advantage of these seasoned speakers’ wisdom and experience.”

  2. Mastermind Groups meet regularly. Mutual support provides shared ideas, information, encouragement, connections and accountability.

  3. Showcase gives members the opportunity to prepare a presentation and take the CAPS stage. Participants will receive valuable feedback fand support.

  4. Administration, Monitoring and Support keeps member participants on track. The program’s committee is available for support and direction, as needed. The committee provides structure and makes arrangements for orientation evenings, 6 afternoons of rich learning, and an evening showcase.

  5. Accountability is an important feature of the program. Participants are expected to keep agreements with their Mastermind group, the Professional Advisors, the program coordinators, and CAPS Calgary.

  6. Different Skill Levels are acknowledged. Although program participants pursue similar tasks, they are achieved at the level appropriate for them.

  7. Service Focus is a key aspect of the program. CAPS Calgary is committed to helping its members and program participants grow and develop as a result of participation.
